MIAMI SPICE

One of our favorite times of the year has arrived- Miami Spice. After previewing 13 restaurants and trying about 47 cocktails, we can say that Miami has a lot to look forward to these two months. Let’s start at the SLS South Beach with one of our favorite sushi restaurants- Katsuya. The Miami Spice menu features some of their most popular menu items such as the Crispy Rice and Passion Fruit Donuts. The Bazaar by Jose Andres absolutely blew our mind with the Cuban Coffee Rubbed Churrasco- must have! Diego Oka at La Mar never disappoints when it comes to Miami Spice. Try the Picante De Mariscos, a seafood stew made with creamy spicy aji Amarillo. Our Miami Spice and first actual preview of The Restaurant at the Raleigh was amazing. We tried the seabass and truffled mushroom tagliatelle and not only were they extremely fair portions but they tasted amazing- we will be back. Last but not least- SLS Brickell with Bazaar Mar and Fi’lia. We thought we couldn’t be more obsessed with Fi’lia until we tried the Miami Spice menu. As simple as pesto pasta may be, Michael Schwartz found a way to make the Homemade Rotini the absolute most amazing dish we’ve tried. For Bazaar Mar, our favorite dish was the California Funnel cakes made with Blue Crab.
